[Video] Differences between Bagbin and Ofori-Atta holds up budget presentation for hours

The Speaker of Parliament, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, has been explaining the reason behind the undue delay in the presentation of the 2022 budget statement by Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta on Wednesday.

The exercise, which was scheduled to start at 10:00am, began after 1:00pm.

“The pre-sitting meeting which we usually refer to as conclave has rather taken a longer time than anticipated,” Speaker Bagbin addressed the House after the meeting with Mr Ofori-Atta.

“Clearly, I am sure many of you were a bit worried about the delay and you are right to do so. It is because the leadership of the House together with my good self have grave differences with the Ministry of Finance.”
