Ghana’s Embassy in USA suspends consular services

Ghana’s Embassy in the United States of America has suspended its visa and passport application effective Today, Tuesday, March 17, due to the coronavirus outbreak.

A statement signed by the Head of Information and Chancery, Kofi Tonto, stated that the decision had become necessary as a precautionary measure to protect clients.








The United States has recorded over 3000 cases of Coronavirus diseases with close to 100 deaths. The pandemic has forced several countries including Italy, US, Denmark, France to shut their borders and lock several parts of their country.

Ghana has shut down schools and all social gatherings after the country recorded six cases of the deadly coronavirus.

Globally over 130, 000 people have been affected by the virus with over 4000 deaths with China being the worst-hit country.
