Stupid!!! + ‘F’ Word!!! A-Plus Flares Up…Rain Insults On Halifax Over #Fixthecountry Demo

There was drama on UTV‘s “United Showbiz” this Saturday, and the spewing of expletives from Kwame Asare Obeng, commonly known as A-Plus, when he was asked why he didn’t join the #fixthecountry demonstration held on August 4, 2021.

A-Plus, who did not take kindly to the nature of the query, wondered why the focus should be on him.

Health Walk or Sell Cement

Undoubtedly one of the very loud voices in the campaign on social media, the musician’s absence appears noticeably felt.

He, however, explained that he decided to stay at home and sell his cement since he saw the event as mere jogging or health walk.

Common Sense

A couple of weeks ago, A-Plus took the Ghana Police to the cleaners asking the service to learn common sense and join the Fix The Country campaign instead of fighting against it. That was when the Police administration sought to block the demonstration via a court order.

Thus after securing the go-ahead to hit the streets from the security agencies, many perhaps thought the musician would be part of those at the fore-front of the campaign to #fixthecountry.

But A Plus pointed out even though he acknowledges that demonstrations are useful, he was not convinced the August 4th protest would achieve any results.

Nothing Wrong With Question

Okay FM‘s ‘Best Entertainment Show‘ host, Halifax Nii Ansah-Addo, who felt there was nothing wrong with the question, however, insisted A-Plus owes a duty to Ghanaians by giving reasons for not joining the protest.

Then came the outburst, a barrage of insults from A-Plus…but subsequently ended in an apology.
