Halifax didn’t pay Wisa’s court fine; we did – Management

The manager of hiplife artiste Wisa, D-Black has refuted claim by arts writer Halifax Ansah-Addo that he paid the court fine slapped on Wisa by an Accra Circuit Court yesterday.

Yesterday, Halifax Ansah-Addo, who is also the Director of Communications for Zylofon Cash and Zylofon Events told citinewsroom.com that he sent an amount of GHc 10, 000.00 to bail Wisa of the Ghc 8,400 fine slapped on him by an Accra Circuit Court.

He said that when he heard about the fine, he thought he could help, so he asked Wisa to send someone to his office for the money.

“I wasn’t even in court so I called few media friends who were there and sent the money so he would be freed. Wisa is my friend. We come from the same hometown and I felt it was right to help a brother who was in dire need at that moment,” he said.

D-Black shows receipt of payment of Wisa’s court fine

However, the Chief Executive Officer of Black Avenue Muzik, Desmond Blackmore (D-Black), has told citinewsroom.com that the fine was not paid by Halifax.

“Wisa’s fine was paid by himself, CEO of his label, D-Black and the bigwigs from the Ghana Tourism Authority who support the creative arts industry. Halifax and Wisa are friends. Whatever support he offered Wisa was between them as friends and has nothing to do with his fine. Other persons have also offered Wisa such assistance in the past 24 hours and he’s grateful to everyone that’s showing love and concern,” he said
