GPL: Black Starlets’ Captain Ayiah Set To Join Liberty Professionals

Liberty Professionals will complete the signing of Ghana U17 skipper Eric Ayiah in the coming days.

Sources reveal lower division side Charity Stars have agreed to allow the player join the Ghana Premier League side for the upcoming season.

Ayiah, who was expected to leave for Europe after reportedly receiving offers is set to stay in Ghana for at least one more season.

Liberty is believed to have finalize a deal with Charity stars with the player expected to be traded to Italian Serie A side Udinese as an onward transfer at the end of the 2017/18 season.

The 17-year-old ended the year as one of the most promising Sports personalities in Ghana after he captained the Black Starlets team to win silver at the Africa U17 Championship in Gabon and also aided the team to the quarterfinals at the FIFA World Cup played in India scoring seven goals in the two competitions for Ghana.




The amazing talent was also named as one of the 60 best young players in the year 2017 and also earned himself a nomination for the CAF young player of the year award but missed out on the final three-man shortlist released by CAF last Month.

He could become the first official signing by Liberty Professionals ahead of the new season.

The teenager could be coming in as a replacement for striker Bernard Arthur who left for Tanzania at the end of the season for a two year deal as a free agent.
