May 16 set to select jury for JB Danquah murder case

An Accra High Court has set May 16, 2017 for selection of jurors for the trial of Daniel Asiedu and Vincent Bossu, accused of murdering Abuakwa North MP JB Danquah-Adu.
The two on February 2016 allegedly stabbed the legislator to death at his Shiashie residence.
The family of the murdered MP last month served notice it will resort to an international body such as the International Criminal Court in seeking justice.




Unhappy with the delay in prosecuting the case, the family gave the prosecution a three-month ultimatum to come to the conclusion of the matter.
Also it asked the president, Nana Akufo-Addo to consider reopening a fresh investigations into the circumstances leading to the untimely death of the Abuakwa lawmaker.
The suspects have denied murdering the late MP.
