Mbappe overtakes Ronaldo in European Golden Shoe Race

Kylian Mbappe was on target on Wednesday night as Paris Saint-Germain extended their lead at the top of the Ligue 1 table to 15 points after thrashing Montpellier HSC 5-1 at the Parc de Princes.

Mbappe’s 79th-minute goal was his 20th league goal of the season – meaning he has now scored more league goals than Juventus superstar Cristiano Ronaldo and only trails Lionel Messi by two goals



The 20-year-old is currently the top scorer in Ligue 1 and has also bagged four goals in the Champions League this season.

The capital club next play Nimes in the league then Dijon FCO at home in the French Cup.
