We’ve been working – Benedicta Gafah reacts to being dormant at Zylofon

Actress Benedicta Gafah, has refuted criticisms that actors and actresses signed by Zylofon Media have been dormant since they were signed to the media company.

According to her, the five actors signed by the company have been very busy contrary to perceptions that they have been idle.

Zylofon Films, a wing of Zylofon Media, in July 2017, made known its intentions of venturing into movie productions.

In line with this intention, the company unveiled five actors they said will spearhead and help them achieve that dream.

The five actors are James Gardiner, Bibi Bright, Toosweet Annan, Zynnell Zuh and Benedicta Gafah.

Since their signing, not much has been heard of the actors until recently when Zylofon Media announced plans to premiere its first movie, ‘The New Adabraka’ directed by Eddie Nartey.

Benedicta Gafah, speaking in an interview with Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM, explained that they have been busy reading scripts and doing a couple of jobs.

“We were reading other scripts. He [Eddie Nettey] wanted us to come out with the best one and I was also shooting a couple of jobs and at the same time I’m schooling at AUCC [Africa University College of Communications],” she explained.

“I don’t know the reason why they thought that we [are] sitting down doing nothing,” the actress added.

Asked if she is permitted to work with other film houses, she responded, “Yes I am.”

Eddie Nartey, Head of Zylofon Films, explained further that the signed actors “are permitted to work with everybody that wants to work with you. We are basically doing the management of the artistes. It’s like we’ve taken them and say we are only shooting with them…”
