I filed but did not get VGMA nomination – Bisa K’dei

The 2016 Ghana Music Awards Artiste of the Year nominee, Bisa K’dei has revealed that he submitted entries for this year’s awards but could not find his name on the list of nominees.

In an interview with Joy News’ Maxwell Amoofia, the artiste was disappointed at the fact that he missed out on the nominations for the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards this year.

“I did file for the nomination…” he said. “I have been disappointed since.”

He added that he should have been crowned Artiste of the Year in 2016 considering the massive public appeal and public opinion.
Everybody was saying [I should have won the Artiste of the Year] I thought I should have gotten something…” the ‘Mansa’ hitmaker lamented.

In spite of the shortfall, Bisa K’dei is optimistic that the future holds greater prospects.

“There is better luck next time. Next year is there. I am going to try my best to hard to work so that I’ll be there next year,” the singer stated.

The VGMAs comes off on Saturday, April 14, 2018, at the Accra International Conference Center.
