Nintendo Switch games news: Nintendo update to solve one of eShop’s biggest problems

NINTENDO Switch fans will soon be able to discover even more great games.
Nintendo is about to shine the spotlight on more of the eShop’s hidden gems.

In a recent GDC panel, the company announced plans to update the Nintendo Switch eShop.

The aim is to improve how the eShop functions and make it easier to discover new content.

That’s according to Nintendo’s Damon Barker, who said (Gamingbolt): “We have heard the feedback from yourselves, and from fans, loud and clear, about the limitations of the Nintendo eShopl.

“I can assure you that steps are being taken over the course of the coming year to improve the functionality in terms of discoverability and visibility, to highlight all of that great content.”

In the meantime, fans can check out the brand new eShop sale.
Kicking off on March 22, the eShop sale features discounts on more than 140 titles.

“The weather is warming up and the action is kicking into gear as Nintendo eShop holds its spring sale, beginning on Thursday 22nd March at 15:00 CET and running until Thursday 5th April at 23:59 local time,” a Nintendo post reads.




“Over 140 titles will be available at discounted prices, across Nintendo Switch, Nintendo 3DS family systems and Wii U. Visit Nintendo eShop once the sale goes live on Thursday for full information on the titles included and the discounts on offer.”

Discounts will be available on the likes of ARMS, LA Noire and Skyrim.
The news comes as Nintendo Switch fans discover the first hint of a shock Switch follow up.

According to SwitchBrew reports, the recent Nintendo Switch 5.0 update added support for a new Tegra chip.

The Nintendo Switch currently uses the Tegra 210 CPU, although the updated added support for the Tegra 214 unit.

It’s possible Nintendo is planning a small hardware revision to combat hackers, but it could mean Nintendo is experimenting with a follow up, or perhaps even a Nintendo Switch Mini.
