Barcelona transfer news: Barcelona agree £138m deal with Dortmund for Ousmane Dembele

BARCELONA have agreed a deal worth up to £138million with Borussia Dortmund for Ousmane Dembele.

Barcelona have been trying to convince Dortmund to sell Dembele for the past few weeks after losing Neymar to Paris Saint-Germain for £200m.

Barca have also been pursuing Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho but appear to have now landed Dembele.

According to beIN SPORTS, Barcelona have agreed a fee worth £110.6m (€120m) with Dortmund for the 20-year-old.




It is said the deal includes a possible £27.7m (€30m) in add-ons, taking the total transfer to £138.2m (€150m).

French newspaper L’Equipe also say Barcelona could pay up to £138.2m (€150m) for Dembele making him the second-most expensive player in the world behind Neymar.

Barcelona may now finally give up on signing Coutinho from Liverpool after landing Dembele.

Dembele had been suspended from Dortmund since August 10 for failing to appear at training.

It was claimed he and his representatives had met Barcelona officials the day before.

Dembele has since moved out of his accomodation in Dortmund and returned to France.
