Agenda 111’ll create 20K jobs for health workers – Akufo-Addo

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has said the Agenda 111 Hospitals Project will provide 20,000 jobs for professional health workers when completed.

He said 88 sites have been identified for the project and works on them begin today, Tuesday, 17 August 2021 concurrently.

The president said the 250 domestic contractors who are to undertake the project, have 18 months to complete them, adding that each of the projects will cost $16.88 million.





The president said this at the commencement of work on Agenda 111 at Trede in the Ashanti Region today, Tuesday, 17 August 2021.

Agenda 111 aims to build 101 district hospitals in areas without one.

It also involves the provision of two specialised hospitals for the middle and northern belts, the redevelopment of the Accra Psychiatric Hospital plus the development of six new regional hospitals and one extra-regional hospital for the Western Region.
