JOMORO NPP SUPPORTERS BARE TEETH AT HON PAUL ESSIEN FOR THE PARTY’S DEFEAT

Some NPP supporters in Jomoro constituency have accused the sitting MP of the constituency, hon Paul Essien of being responsible for his failure to retain the parliamentary seat in the just ended elections.

According to the NPP faithfuls, the incumbent Member of Parliament have lost touch with the grassroots reason why he was booted out of the seat.

Speaking to journalists on Wednesday, they said, the MP in the area exhibit gross disrespect and now becoming untouchable such that even when they call upon him in town he doesn’t even answer them or stop to greet some party executives who campaigned for him in the last NPP parliamentary primaries the constituency.

One of them said it is sad that hon Paul Essien has not visited people in Takinta, Adu Suazo amongst other notable communities to witness their accumulated distress since he was elected MP.

They added that MP’s are elected so that they can facilitate development in their areas and wondered why their MP did not bother to visit his electorates.

According to them if there’s a proper bond with the people in Jomoro, Paul Essien will not have to struggle with the opposition NDC party because the NPP in the constituency will always go without any form of tough election competition for the Parliamentary seat.

They disclaimed the accusations by what they discribed as selfish and self-centered party members that accused the Municipal Chief Executive for the loss of the sitting NPP MP seat in Jomoro in the 2020 Parliamentary elections.

Some so-called concerned youth group claiming to be members of the ruling New Patriotic Party in the Jomoro constituency of the Western region, in a press release, have blamed their parliamentary loss in the just-ended 2020 elections on the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) Ernest Kofie.

According to the group, the MCE has made things looked so clear to the people in the Constituency that, he was in competition with the MP during the campaign season.

They mentioned that the MCE resourced his team to preach “skirt and blouse” mostly at Half Assini, Kengen Atubanso, Adu Suazo, Nuba, Takinta and other parts of the Constituency.

Meanwhile, the voters in Jomoro have touted the umpresidented performance by the District Chief Executive in the municipality.

They said, but for the MCE’s splendid performance, the NPP wouldn’t have had a singly ballot in the just ended elections in Jomoro constituency.
