Ghana: Eight more people die from COVID-19; death toll now 199

Eight more persons in Ghana have died from COVID-19, taking the country’s death toll to 199, according to latest figures by the Ghana Health Service.

According to the GHS, 574 COVID-19 new cases have also been recorded pushing the national cumulative tally to 39,075.

Meanwhile, a total of 35,563 people have also recovered and have been discharged.

The country’s current active case count stands at 3,313.
