Persons With Disability In The Juaboso District Received Support From DCE.

The Juaboso District Assembly has distributed items worth Thousands of Ghana cedis to 57 persons with disability (PWDs) at a ceremony in Sefwi Juaboso Community Centre.

The beneficiaries received items such as deep freezers with Automatic Voltage Regulators, sewing machines, wheel chairs, Fufu pounding Machines, Cash ranging from 1,000 Ghana Cedis to 2,000 Ghana cedis among others.

Addressing the beneficiaries at a public gathering at Juaboso conference centre, Hon Martha Kwayie Manu the district chief executive (DCE) of Juaboso stated that this donation count the fourth time they have been able to support the PWDs in the district and has yielded a good results, she therefore urged this batch beneficiaries to make good use of whatever they have received because a monitoring team has been set up to cross check the items six months after.




She said the items were meant to empower the beneficiaries to use the items to improve their livelihoods as we join the rest of the world to fight the deadly Coronavirus Pandemic

Mr Awuah Joseph President Ghana Blind Union Juaboso and Mr Agyemang Duah William, president of Federation of the Disable, Juaboso who commended the government and the DCE Hon Martha Kwayie Manu in an interview.
The beneficiaries however, expressed their interest and joyful condition they’re going through and thanked The District Chief Executive, Hon. Martha Kwayie Manu and the NPP government for this initiative.
