The benevolent Assembly Member, Hon. Nana Yaw Donkor Jill of Ahenboboano Electoral Area, a conurbation of the Ahafo Regional Capital – Goaso, under the Asunafo North Constituency has shown true love to his people at this Pernicious hour of Covid 19.
The deadly virus which has put the whole world into a total pool of dilemma by killing over 3,000 people in China, 4’089 in Spain, 7, 000 in Italy, 400 in USA, 3 in Ghana, 600 in France etc. The Director General of the World Health Organisation, Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus officially declared the Corona Virus as Pandemic. Meaning that this virus is capable of entering any living society on this Earth. Therefore, all nations ought to be alert.
It is very imperative to note that, most of the African Countries like Nigeria, Togo, DR Congo, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Senegal etc have recorded some cases of Covid 19 and fatalities. Hon. Nana Yaw Donkor Jill,who represents the good people of Ahenboboano Electoral Area has donated some material like, medicated soaps, tissues, buckets etc to the people of Ahenboboano.
The Assemblyman has used an innovative way of setting up washing stands at respective vantage points in the Area, so that the people can easily get running water which remains one of the best precautionary measures in combating COVID 19.
Hon. Nana Yaw Donkor Jill used the opportunity as a vulominous conduit and urged the public to intensify their personal hygiene, make good use of the materials he has provided and shy away from all forms of fear and rumours on the virus. He reiterated on a rounded pricket that, they have to be bold and come out to inform authorities when there is any suspected case in the Area and their identity will not be disclose.
He therefore, cautioned traders who have intentionally created an artificial shortage of hand sanitizers.
This is the time Ghanaaian traders have to show compassion by reducing their sanitizers to the lowest price so that the impoverished ones can afford it and protect Themselves. He stressed.
The honourable member appreciated the media for their massive education on the Corona virus. Members of the Area were so happy for the donation and entreated him to do more.
The Paramount chief of Goaso Traditional Council, Nana Kwasi Bosompra commended the Assemblyman for what he has done.
