PREGNANT WOMAN DIES IN ACCIDENT NEAR APAM.

A pregnant woman has met her untimely death through accident in the Central region on Saturday evening.

The woman, who is yet to be identified, according to the Central Regional public relations officer (PRO) of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), ADO I Abdul Wassiw Wudu, was travelling with her husband from Accra towards Cape Coast around 5:20pm on Saturday March 21, 2020 in a Hyundai car with registration number CR 415-12 when a Benz mini trailer with registration number GE 5365-Z, that was travelling in the opposite direction ran into their vehicle when the Benz mini trailer’s tyre bursted killing the woman instantly at Gomoa Abotsia, near Apam.

“The husband who was driving, was trapped in the vehicle and was rescued by the Ghana National Fire Service team from Apam Fire Station. The man who is in critical condition has since been sent to Apam Hospital by the Ghana Ambulance Service responding to treatment and the body of the deceased has been handed over to the Ghana Police Service in Apam”, the PRO said.
