Earlier today, January 30, 2020, over Six hundred delegates of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Constituency converged at the Party’s Office to pick a nomination form for Mr. Alfred Obeng-Boateng, popularly called APPROACHERS to contest for the Party’s Parliamentary slot.

The triumphant entry to the party’s office saw Electoral Area Coordinators, Polling Station Executives, Former Constituency and Regional Executives, party sympathizers and other groups numbering more than Five Thousand who accompanied Mr. Obeng as they moved to the Party’s Office and subsequently picked a nomination form for him as the party prepares for the primaries on April 25, 2020.

They were also accompanied by some NDC activists and other Social Organizations which believes in his ideology.

Mr. Alfred Obeng Boateng, who is the CEO of Approachers Group of Companies and a Former Managing Director of BOST, had been known for his philanthropic work which is aimed at touching lives and accelerating Socio-economic development.

The Convenor for the group, The Coalition of Polling Station Executives and Electoral Area Coordinators for Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Constituency, Mr. Bekoe said “We are here today to pick a nomination form for Approachers to contest in the upcoming Parliamentary primaries. Picking the form today is an endorsement for Approachers. We can proudly say that, from today Approachers is our 2020 Parliamentary candidate. We are the same delegates who are going to vote in April and our resolution is based on a clarion call from the grassroots.”

They say they need Approachers, who are we to disobey them? Mr. Bekoe quizzed.

Mr. Alfred Obeng Boateng in his address to the gathering assured them of his acceptance of the many calls on him to represent the constituents in Parliament in 2021.

“I have accepted the challenge. And I see a new dawn rising with a new direction. A direction to create wealth and alleviate poverty which are the main bane to sustainable development.” Mr. Obeng said.

“We have responsibilities to challenge the status quo and ensure the rapid Socio-economic development of society. And we can only achieve this with an empowered and skilled human resource and this is what our foundation stands for”. Mr. Obeng revealed.

Last Week, Hundred Youths from Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Municipality were inducted into an intensive Skill training programme by Mr. Obeng and his Foundation. This, he said, is one of the many impacts he envisaged for the people under his leadership.

At the event, it was evident that Mr. Obeng is the best and the right candidate to maximize the fortunes of the New Patriotic Party since he attracts people from different political background as well as floating voters.

However, Mr. Obeng expressed his discomfort for not being able to address the gathering at the Party’s Secretariat but has to move them to a far distance place away from the Secretariat due to lack of space.

Some time ago, Mr. Obeng in consultation with the party initiated a project to build an Ultra-modern edifice which would have served as the Party’s Constituency Secretariat. This was at the expense of Mr. Obeng but unfortunately, the incumbent Member of Parliament for the Constituency fought the project to the extent of destroying the building materials available on the land for construction work. However, Mr. Obeng assured the party that the project will continue and be completed under his regime.

“Our Subsequent gatherings, if endorsed as the Parliamentary candidate for the Party and eventually as the Member of Parliament for Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Constituency, which is bound to happen, will be taking place at our Ultra-modern Office Complex”. He assured.
