Zongo Caucus to begin weeding challenge in support of Mahama

Members of the Zongo Caucus of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Madina Constituency are expected to begin a weeding challenge after a video of former president Mahama clearing weed went viral.

John Dramani Mahama led a section of his security detail to clear overgrown weeds in the middle belt of the ‘Mahama’ Road in front of the new Military Cemetery in Accra, Saturday.

The overgrown weeds obstruct the view of motorists, especially towards the roundabout which motivated Mr Mahama and his team to clear the area.

Hence, this challenge is to support former President John Mahama’s actions on November 9.

The challenge dubbed ‘I choose to weed, not to sleep’ would begin on Saturday, November 16 at 6 am.
