Kade: 16-year-old girl who stabbed boyfriend to death remanded

Kade District Magistrate Court in the Eastern Region presided over by Her Worship Felicia Anane has remanded into police custody the 16-year-old girl (name withheld) who stabbed her boyfriend to death.

The accused person charged with murder is expected to reappear before Court on July 8, 2019.

According to some tenants, in the house where the incident happened, the 16-year-old lady from Subi, a suburb of Kade stormed the room of the boyfriend with a knife on Saturday around 10:00 pm after a tip-off that the deceased was flirting with his ex-girlfriend whom he has a child with.

In an ensuing confusion, the accused allegedly stabbed the deceased in the chest and rib. The deceased bled profusely and was rushed to Kade Government Hospital but pronounced dead in an attempt to refer him to the Eastern Regional Hospital.

A tenant in the house narrated that after committing the act the accused person attempted to go into hiding with the aid of some men in the area but police got wind of the incident and got her arrested.

Mother of the deceased Dzifa Gabledzu, saddened by the incident reportedly collapsed when first told about the death of her 21-year-old son popularly known as Efo but regained consciousness.
