Cesc Fabregas banned from Chelsea dressing room after shock Bournemouth loss – here’s why

CESC FABREGAS has revealed he was not allowed into Chelsea’s dressing room after the defeat to Bournemouth due to a drugs test.
Chelsea suffered a shock 3-0 home defeat to Bournemouth on Wednesday night, heaping pressure on manager Antonio Conte.

The Italian will have demanded an instant response from his side tonight as the Blues look to get back to winning ways at Watford.

However, Cesc Fabregas has revealed he has no idea what was said after the defeat to the Cherries as he was hauled in for an anti-doping test and was banned from the dressing room.

“After the game I don’t know because I was called for a doping test straight after the game and stayed at the ground until midnight,” he told Sky Sports’ Soccer AM.
“I was not allowed into the dressing room so I don’t know what happened.”

However, the Spain international knows the Chelsea fans will expect an immediate response against Watford tonight.

And he is confident the Blues will deliver, calling on his team-mates to keep their heads up and to put in a “top level” performance.

“We have to keep our heads up,” Fabregas added.
“It was a very disappointing night for many reasons.

“Now is not the time to feel sorry for ourselves or put our heads down, in fact it’s time for the opposite.

“We now have to be stronger than ever, show the quality we’ve got, our leadership and try to focus better than what we’ve done lately and perform at the top level again.”

Meanwhile, Conte has called for a vote of confidence from the Chelsea board to stave off talk of him facing the sack.
“When there are these rumours about me since the first game of the season, maybe I’d like the club to prepare a statement to say they trust me in my job,” he said.

“I know this never happened in the past, so why should I hope for something different?

“But I’d like to have a statement of support against this speculation.

“It’s a big challenge to change the approach now. But I’d be glad. You only need one person to speak to make this happen.”
