Monday, June 26 declared public holiday

Interior Minister, Ambrose Dery, has announced that Monday, June 26, 2017, should be observed as a statutory public holiday.




The day marks the Eid Ul-Fitr, which is an important religious day celebrated by Muslims worldwide to mark the end of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting.
A statement from the Minister says the public holiday must be observed throughout the country.
