Black Stars captain, Asamoah Gyan, says they have to honour the Mexico and USA games because they want to improve on the FIFA Ranking.
The West African giants are currently ranked 49th in the World and 9th on the Africa continent.
“These matches are very important, because it will be good for our FIFA ranking, Gyan told reporters after Black Stars’ training on Tuesday in Accra.
He continued: “So we will treat it like a serious game even though it’s a friendly. We have to protect our reputation in this match so we have to go there and play our normal game and make sure we win.
“With Football anything can happen but we are focused on the friendlies because it is very very important.”
Ghana will face Mexico on June 28th Houston Dynamo Stadium, before locking horns with USA on July 1st at the Pratt & Whitney Stadium in East Hartford, Connecticut.
