Another Police Shake-Up; Cephas Arthur, 31 Others Moved

Another shake-up has hit the Police Service with the Inspector General of Police, David Asante Apeatu, reassigning some 32 officers.

The district Commander of East Legon and former Public Affairs Director of the Ghana Police Service, Superintendent Cephas Arthur is now the Director for the Mamprobi district.

The latest shake-up comes few weeks after a number of Senior Police Officers were reshuffled in command positions at the Police Headquarters.

That shake-up saw the appointment of Deputy Inspector-General of Police (IGP) in the person of COP James Oppong Boamah, the first under the Akufo-Addo administration.

In the latest shake-up DCOP Francis Ebenezer Doku, who was the second in command in the Volta Region, is now the Volta Regional Commander.

DCOP Kwaku Boadu-Preprah who is the second in command in Tema is now the second in command in the Ashanti Region.
