#12 Video: Anas Releases Receipts Covering Nyantakyi’s Flight, Hotel

Receipts covering the air fare and hotel bills of former Ghana FA boss Kwesi Nyantakyi have been released by the Tiger Eye PI team as the football capo denies receiving a bribe of $65, 000 in the undercover sting operation.

The former vice president of CAF allegedly took $65,000 from a potential investor to entice him to persuade government officials back in Ghana for juicy contracts. He was captured in the undercover project dubbed: #Number 12 stashing the notes into a polythene bag.

However, in a nine-page statement the former executive member of world football governing body Fifa denied taking bribe, insisting the money he received was for a refund for his air travel and accommodation.

“It is completely false that I received $65,000 from a person claiming to be a member of the Qatari Royal Family. It also completely false that at the time the money was handed to me I was informed “that the money was for shopping” In the context of above, it is therefore false that I was handed a “large gift,” Ghana’s longest serving FA boss said.

He added: “I was handed the sum of $40,000 only in eight bundles of $50 banknotes but not $65,000 which both the Sheikh’s agent and I understood to be reimbursement for the travel costs incurred by me, at the Sheikh’s request. It is very easy to confirm how much was given to me from the videotapes. The money was exposed before I was tricked to put in the bag personally.”

The lead investigator and award-winning subterfuge icon Anas Aremeyaw Anas has challenged Mr. Nyantakyi to provide hard core evidence to substantiate his claims.

Below are copies of the receipts Anas and his team released hours after Nyantakyi issued his statement:
