Man Utd news: Real Madrid president tells Sergio Ramos David de Gea deal is done – report

REAL MADRID president Florentino Perez is confident he will land David De Gea this summer.
The Manchester United ace is a long-term target for the Spanish giants.

De Gea, 27, nearly joined Real in 2015 but a late fax ended any hope of a deal.

Reports have suggested Real haven’t given up hope of landing De Gea, who has impressed for United once again this season.

And Spanish news outlet Don Balon say Perez reckons Real will sign De Gea.

They reckon Real have reached an agreement with the Old Trafford No 1, with Perez waiting on the Red Devils to discuss their asking price.

Don Balon add that Perez has told Real skipper Sergio Ramos that De Gea is heading to the Bernabeu this summer.
United boss Jose Mourinho has been vocal about De Gea’s future in recent months.

The Special One, however, this week claimed that the Spain international is ‘going nowhere’ this summer.

The Spain star was named as United’s Player of the Year again this season and De Gea says it’s an honour to be recognised by the fans.

“I’m very happy. It’s just incredible,” he said.
“Initially, you don’t imagine yourself winning even one of these trophies but now to have won four is just fantastic.

“All I can do is thank the fans, thank my team-mates and thank them for the affection they have shown me over the years.”

De Gea and United are back in action tonight when the Red Devils host Brighton in the Premier League (8pm kick-off).
