Roma vs Chelsea: Unfit Alvaro Morata is causing problems for Antonio Conte – Nicholas

ALVARO MORATA is not fully fit and there is an awkwardness within the Chelsea set-up.
That is according to Sky Sports pundit Charlie Nicholas.

Chelsea are in Italy for a crucial clash with Roma in the Champions League group stages.

When the two sides met earlier this month, Chelsea were pegged back from 2-0 and had to recover from 3-2 down to earn a 3-3 draw.




But the Premier League champions go into tonight’s clash on the back of a 1-0 win over Bournemouth thanks to an Eden Hazard strike.

However, Nicholas is unconvinced by the Blues and reckons Conte is dealing with some problems.
He wrote: “I thought Chelsea were a bit fortunate to get a draw in the reverse fixture and I do feel there is some awkwardness in this Chelsea team at the moment.
“The defence is the real concern and Antonio Conte is not happy with them, while I don’t know what has happened to Alvaro Morata.

“He doesn’t look fit and I don’t know whether he’s concerned his hamstring won’t let him sprint.

“Chelsea did get a great result at Atletico Madrid and are a better counter-attacking side than at dominating games, so I can’t split them again.

“I predict 1-1 and Willian to score first.”
