Kwame Sefa-Kayi turns down GFA job

Former Ghana Journalist Association (GJA) Journalist of the Year, Kwame Sefa-Kayi has turned down an appointment from the Ghana Football Association to serve on its Communication and Promotion Committee.

Mr Sefa-Kayi refused the appointment announced on Monday in a letter addressed to the Normalisation Committee currently running Ghana football.

The broadcaster took issue with the manner of the appointment as he was not consulted during the process, a source at the GFA disclosed to Graphic Online.

He also stated in the letter that there were more competent people in the field of sports and football journalism who should have been considered for the post.

The Communication and Promotion Committee is headed by another journalist Paul Adom Otchere with Ekow Asmah serving as his deputy.

Other members of the Committee are Albert Sam, Ohene Brenya, Ebo Quansah and Tamimu Issah
