I'm not surprised divisive Akufo-Addo has neglected Krobos - Mahama

Former President John Mahama has accused President Nana Akufo-Addo of intentionally neglecting districts with National Democratic Congress (NDC) majority support.

During his two-day tour of the Eastern Region, the flagbearer of the NDC told the people of Krobo Odumase that he was not surprised given Mr Akufo-Addo’s statements during his visit to Mepe in the Volta Region when the area was decimated by floods and also his recent meeting with some Ekumfi chiefs at at the Jubilee House where he confessed that he intentional denied the area of development because they voted out his preferred parliamentary candidate.

The former President asserted that these instances reveal the divisive nature of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Mr Mahama said 7 the NPP, an NDC government, under his leadership, would adopt an inclusive approach, ensuring an equitable distribution of development across the entire country.

Reflecting on his previous term, Mr Mahama noted challenges in the road construction from Odumase to Kpong, initiated during his tenure.

He attributed this to what he perceives as the Akufo-Addo administration’s focus on supporting only their party’s delegates in national development matters.

“When it comes to elections, we know where Krobo is. That’s why, for the past eight years, the roads have not been developed. But as for the NDC, we don’t discriminate, whether you vote for us or not, we’ll ensure that every constituency enjoys national development.”
