Juaboso:Newly elected assemblymembers unable to elect Presiding Member

The inauguration of the newly elected assemblymembers were to start at exactly 2:00pm but due to the delay of the Hon.Martha kwayie the DCE for Juaboso and the deputy Regional Minister Hon. Alex Tettey the programme started at exactly 4:20pm after some invited Nananom have make their way home after their long waiting at around 1:30pm.

Begining the programme Hon Martha Kwayie Manu pleaded for the delay and gave her speech by addressing the congregation by advicing the newly assemblymembers to work hard after their swearing in as assemblymembers.

Hon. Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, MP for Juaboso shown his disappointment for receiving his invitation just a day beforr the programme.putting that aside adviced the assemblymembers to put away politics and work tiredlessly incollaboration with their DCE to help improve community project and the nation as a whole, he stated.



Again,the Hon. Regional Minister Alex Tettey, added up that the assemblymembers should note that they are work for God and their country not for their political parties.
He continued that, they should also accept the grievances of anybody who comes their no matter his or her political affiliation to help improve the nation.

The assemblymembers elected were 16 which 7 were government appointees making a total of 23 members.After the swearing in of the assemblymembers, the only person who took a form for the presiding membership position was Hon. Thomas Affum.

At the end of the first round of the election which is a yes and no affair. hon Affum had 13 for yes,10 for and 1 rejected.

Since, hon. Affum did not get the 100% confirmation the election went to roundoff.At the roundoff hon.Affum had 13 for yes and 11 for no yet hon Affum did had the 100% voted so the EC prosponed the election to about a week or two.
