We Need More Investors In Ahafo Region - Regional Ministe

The hardworking Ahafo Regional Minister, who represents the good people of Asunafo North Constituency as their legislator in his first term at the Parliament of Ghana, Hon. Evans Opoku Bobie. He made this statement in his working visit at Ocean Wood Ghana Company Limited in the Ahafo Region.

The said mentioned company is located at Nyamebekyere Nkwanta, a conurbation within the Asunafo North Municipality. It is a Chinese company which produces a lot of plywoods for export and other local commercial purposes.

Hon. Evans Opoku Bobie commended the company for their great contribution towards youth employments.
He urged the workers to shy away all forms of lackadaisical attitude in their works.

However, he entreated the employers to take very good care of their employees and advised them to desist from any iota of maltreatment.




The manager of the company, Mr Richard Addo Sarkodie thanked the regional minister for his visit and appreciated his piece of advise and encouragement.

He disclosed to our correspondent that, Ocean Wood Ghana Company Limited has been able to employ seven hundred employees in the Ahafo Region.

He commended the Government of Ghana for her full support to private companies in the Country.

Mr Sarkodie emphasised on a point that, the company will surely expand its base so that more people can be recruited to help the NPP government’s fight against youth unemployment, particularly in the Ahafo Region.





The Hon. Minister for Ahafo Region, Evans Opoku Bobie stated categorically that, the physical and social surroundings of the Ahafo Region is enough and friendly to all investors.

Therefore, on behalf of the President of the Republic of Ghana, H. E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Traditional Authorities and the Ahafo Regional Coordinating Council have duly opened their doors for individual and corporate entities to come and invest in the region.
The regional minister stressed that, the Region is very peaceful and friendly to investors who have the capacity to set up respective firms.
