Law students sue AG, GLC over mass failures

The Law students who sat for the July 2019 Ghana School of Law entrance exam have sued the General Legal Council and the Attorney General.

The suit filed at the High Court Thursday is among other things seeking an order that the undertaken they signed to accept their results without an opportunity for a review or remarking is null and void.

Attached is a copy of the suit intercepted by Starr News.

Meanwhile, the leadership of the students have presented a petition to President Akufo-Addo, at the Jubilee House through the Deputy Chief of Staff, Abu Jinapar, requesting that he gives urgent consideration to their concerns.

The Association failed to present their petition on the 7th of October 2019 after the Ghana Police Service used water canon and tear gas to disperse them as they approached the Ceremonial entrance of the seat of Ghana’s Presidency after a peaceful March from the Ghana School of Law.

Addressing the Deputy Chief of Staff in his office before the formal presentation of the petition, the leader of the Delegation, and SRC President of the Ghana School of Law, Jonathan Alua, said it is the expectation of law students in Ghana that the first gentleman of the Republic will deal with their concerns with all the urgency it deserves and within reasonable timelines.
