NDC Vice Chair, others joined NPP out of pain – NDC Speaks

Constituency Executives of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Walewale Constituency of the North East Region have confirmed the defection of its former Vice Chairperson of the Walewale Constituency and two others to the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Sumani Mutawakilu who is the former NDC executive led Majeed Mahamudu and Mubinu Halidu to defect to the NPP, accused his former party of neglect and it’s intolerant posture to divergent views.

According to him, he has seen the light and that the NPP is more focused and developed the Mamprugu area better than was seen under the NDC which is why he feels his involvement in the elephant family will mean well for the general well-being of the area.

The former constituency vice chair observed that under the Nana Addo led Government; young people in the Walewale constituency are being given opportunities under the various social intervention programmes that had brought employment and relief to people in all corners of the country.

“We took the decision to defect to the “other side of the political divide, because of our brother; the vice president, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and how his party is transforming our constituency within the shortest period in power.”

But the NDC in the area has reacted to his decision saying “Whiles we in the NDC do not have any qualms about this unwise and uninitiated decision by the said former executive, we are however taken at back as to how and why some disgraced walking politicians in the NPP still find it prudent to reintroduce this issue which the NDC has long buried and moved on even stronger than ever, in the public, a year after such move.

We want to state emphatically without any scintilla of regret that, the decision by the Former Executive and his two associates to join the NPP was as a result of his defeat in last year’s Executive elections, and his subsequent engagements in various forms of misconduct, which brought his name into disrepute, contrary to what is being put out there as the reasons”

The attention of the National Democratic Congress in the Walewale constituency has been drawn to a news item on social media to which a certain self seeking and selfish individuals are being mentioned to have defected to the New Patriotic Party.

Whiles we in the NDC do not have any qualms about this unwise and uninitiated decision by the said former executive, we are however taken at back as to how and why some disgraced walking politicians in the NPP still find it prudent to reintroduce this issue which the NDC has long buried and moved on even stronger than ever, in the public, a year after such move.

We want to state emphatically without any scintilla of regret that, the decision by the Former Executive and his two associates to join the NPP was as a result of his defeat in last year’s Executive elections, and his subsequent engagements in various forms of misconduct, which brought his name into disrepute, contrary to what is being put out there as the reasons.

We in the NDC sympathize with this man and his two others that, haven’t been bought Ghc500.00 followed with many failed promises, he has been denied access to Dr Bawumia, in whose name he was heavily and reliably assured of ‘heaven on earth’.

It is disturbing and completely annoying that, such a shameless bandit and his cohorts find no reason to appreciate the party that made him who he is today.

A man who has benefited from the party more than anybody through his execution of many awarded projects, has the moral mind and right conscience to speak ill of the party. The NDC has no room for such ungrateful walking elders, and hence, can’t but only wish them well.

The NDC will not hesitate to describe the said Former Executive and his two others as self serving greedy and certainly bigoted group of people, who are not only a danger in our body politics, but to society as a whole.

Due to current hardship and a regime of unfulfilled promises, thousands of people including bona-fide members of the NPP have joined the NDC to drum home the change mantra.

The NPP led by Sulley Sambian can keep running to the media with names of Defectors. We are focused and resolute, with our eyes on the ball. Perhaps, this style is not out inclination.

It is intellectually incoherent and preposterous that, a certain foul hypocrites and morally unfit elements would be leading this said former executive into throwing out this trash out there against his own conscience.

The defeated Former Vice and his two Colleagues are a foul hypocrites who has no personal guiding principle in life.

In the eyes of the NDC, these trio have no credibility and integrity that is worth begging for. No vacuum has been created by this move. And this is just for the records.

When reality begin to wake you up, we shall be there to wipe your tears.

Now to Lawyer Sulley Sambian. You still have a lot of questions begging for answers in the aftermath of your shambolic meet the press. We will indulge you to channel your energy and money you so acquired through the everyday looting of state funds, into answering those questions and stop this tactics, in an attempt to please your Godfathers.

The NDC has taken very important steps towards working with a common voice and a common purpose aims at capturing power and possibly restoring Ghana’s lost glory as the Beacon of Africa Hope.
