‘I know Bandana very well, his hobby is to be on top of people’- Samini

Artiste of the Decade nominee, Samini has opined that the Shatta Wale (well, Samini still calls him Bandana) is blamable for the unfortunate incident that was recorded at the Vodafone Music Awards that took place at a makeshift Dome in Accra, May 18.

Samini’s prodigy- Stonebwoy angrily puled out a gun during a nasty confrontation with Shatta Wale soon after the former was declared the winner of the Reggae/Dancehall artiste of the year for 5 times in a row.

Wale for reasons best known to him (although he explained in his press release few days ago) walked straight to the stage with his crew and that was when the fight broke out, and in the ensuing melee, Stonebwoy brandished a gun which has been condemned by several Ghanaians.

Some patrons fled upon seeing the gun whilst others allegedly collapsed, a situation which caused a temporal delay for over an hour.

Samini spoke to Andy Dosty few hours ago on Hitz FM and begged Ghanaians to forgive Stonebwoy since he (Bandana) is the one who always ‘torments’ his ‘son.’

He also asked Ghanaians to forgive Shatta Wale since ‘he did not know what he did.’

Meanwhile, both artistes pleaded not guilty to their charges when they appeared before his lordship, Isaac Addo after which they were granted bail at a cost of GHc50,000 with one surety each on Wednesday, May 22.

Shatta Wale is facing a charge of offensive conduct conducive to breach of peace while Stonebwoy has been charged with offensive conduct conducive to breach of peace and display of a firearm in public without permission.
