Police say I should stop disturbing them – Mother of kidnapped girl

Madam Comfort Arhin, mother of one of the Takoradi Kidnapped girls, Ruthlove Quayson, has complained bitterly about the unsympathetic attitude of the Western regional Police following the kidnap of their children.

She claims, the ill-disposed attitude of the Police is causing her more trauma indicating she panics calling for updates from the Police in relation to the whereabouts of the girls.

This comes after one Senior Police Officer at the Western Regional police Command told her to stop bothering them about her kidnapped girl, saying those whose daughters were kidnapped early August were even calmer and not disturbing them as she is, Madam Comfort Arhin told Kasapa 102.5 FM.

“I have practically stopped calling the Police for updates and learning to endure my pains alone because calling the Police is a waste of time and almost like a nightmare to me. I went to the Police lately to inquire about my children and one Senior police officer told me bluntly to stop disturbing them. He told me the family of the girl kidnapped in August have learnt to be patient how much more mine that was recorded in December.” she told sit-in host Akwasi nsiah on Anopa Kasapa on Kasapa 102.5 FM.

Reports by some online news portals and newspapers suggest that the three kidnapped Takoradi young ladies have been rescued.

Pro-government newspaper, Daily Guide, reported Wednesday that the three young ladies are currently seeking medical treatment at an undisclosed health facility in Accra.

“Sources say they were brought to Accra from Takoradi yesterday [Tuesday],” Daily Guide reports.

Meanwhile families of the three kidnapped girls say, they are losing confidence in the state security operatives for failing to live up to expectation on the rescue efforts of their children.

They claim they are deprived of true justice due to the lackadaisical attitude exhibited by both judiciary and security operatives in the country regarding the three kidnapped cases.

Nonetheless a number of them are expected to storm the Regional police command for updates following the latest reports of the rescue of their children.
