Azorka Boys were not deployed to Ayawaso - Chief Azorka

Chief Azorka who is the 1st National Vice Chairman of the National Democratic Congress Chief Azorka says his boys are not a vigilante or militia group as they have been tagged.

The Azorka boys have been identified as one of the political vigilante groups that are associated with violence during every election.

This latest development comes on the back of an audio circulating which the National Chairman of the NDC Samuel Ofosu Ampofo is allegedly heard saying that the party deployed the Azorka boys to help protect it members during the Ayawaso by-election.

In a statement released today February 27, 2019, from the office of the 1st National Vice Chairman, they denied the claims that Mr Ampofo has said on radio or TV that the Azorka boys were present during the by-election.

Part of the statement read “I want to by this release disclaim that Mr. Samuel Ofosu Ampofo has not said anything of this kind on any radio or television station. And that Azourka Boys were nowhere closer to the AWW election centres where the NPP sent their state-sponsored Militia Groups who were armed to teeth and dressed like they were being deployed to an Ebola infested War Zone”.

The statement also disagreed with the assertion that the Azorka boys are a vigilante group.

“In anyways, Azourka Boys are not a militia or a vigilante group who understands no other words than violence and destruction”

There has been a recent nation wide call for the disbandment of vigilante groups and Azorka boys have been earmarked as one of such groups.

DISCLAIMER

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 27TH FEBRUARY, 2019.

My office has intercepted a media reportage that seeks to suggest that the Chairman of the NDC, Mr. Ofosu Ampofo has confessed that Azourka Boys were deployed to the Ayewaso West Wuogon bye election.

I want to by this release disclaim that Mr. Samuel Ofosu Ampofo has not said anything of this kind on any radio or television station. And that Azourka Boys were no where closer to the AWW election centers where the NPP sent their state sponsored Militia Groups who were armed to teeth and dressed like they were being deployed to an Ebola infested War Zone.

In anyways, Azourka Boys are not a militia or a vigilante group who understands no other words than violence and destruction. Azourka Boys are a community based group that is interested in the well being of the people. They have helped several communities to get borehole waters, toilets, supported some school dropouts and encouraged some youths to go into agribusiness.

It will therefore be erroneous for anyone or a group of people who don’t have the balls of courage to do or say what they want but only to hide in the shadows of cowardice to perpetuate such evils, to assume that Azourka Boys are party destructive groups who do not have brains to function but remotely controlled like what we’ve been witnessing in the country, some time past.

I would want to equally use this medium to send an strong signals to these individuals and media houses whose interest is to make others unpopular and drag their hard earned reputation to the cleaners. That they should desist from such unscrupulous acts for their own good.

It said that the devil always finds work for the idle, no one should allow the devil to put him/her to work because already, the trauma that this Super Incompetent NPP government has superimposed on Ghanaians is enough a work to deal with.

Signed. Tetteh Djem Bismark 0245799748 / 0553094002 Office of the 1st National Vice Chairman, NDC.
