WITHDRAW FROM THE RACES IF YOU CAN NOT AFFORD TO FILE AND ALLOW THE PROCESS TO PROCEED, ABRAHAM BOAFO TO NDC PREZ ASPIRANTS

The NDC which is a social democratic political party is very expensive, that is why democracy was not commonly practiced until recent times.

The NDC filing fee for the presidential aspirants is very good and moderate, it is not an easy task for the party to convey over 29,000 and above delegates to the polls centres, feed them, pay the electoral Commission, print ballots and pay for security all to vote for you and you expect that to happen by magic.

Leadership as a whole is in conflict with bankruptcy, hence one who assessed him/herself and decide to lead must be able to sustain every requirement so far as leadership is concern.

The aspirants complaining about the filing fee are not to ready to move this great party from opposition, if a flag bearer aspirant can not lobby and solicit for 400k and rather encouraging supporters to embark on demonstrations, then what kind of presidential candidates are we projecting as a party?

The NDC is in opposition, and the party do not expect monies from anywhere to run that particular exercise apart from the filing fees to be paid by aspirants, hence the need for total compliance with that amount.

That is why it is always advisable for one to conduct SWOT analysis and SMART analysis before taking an action, in other to have no crisis on the way.

So my advice to the aspirants crying over the 400k filing fees is to resign and withdraw from the races and prepare to come back next time, as for the NDC, she is always there for anyone who is well prepared at the right time to come and lead her.

Moreover, it is ethically wrong for one to aspire to be a first gentleman of this country on the ticket of a great party like the NDC and expect to be given that opportunity cheaply.

Finally, I’m calling on the aspirants complaining about the filing fees and planning to engage their supporters on demonstrations to stop those unhealthy moves meant to bring the party down, they should respect the decision of the national executives committee.

The more they become desperate to lead the great NDC, the more delegates will ignore them even if the leadership of the party allowed them to file for free.

I want to finally salute the chairman and the general secretary of our great party the NDC for the zeal and enthusiasm towards the work of the party, we in the grassroots are proud of them.

Thank you all.

Abraham Boafo
