I am not in competition with anybody - Stonebwoy

Ghanaian Afropop, Dancehall and Reggae artiste, Stonebwoy has ranked himself very high as far as his craft is concerned.

Speaking to journalists moments after hosting a massive Ashaiman to the World concert at the Sakasaka Park, Ashaiman, the Top Shanka singer declared, “I am not in competition with anybody and even if I was, you can see the difference. You all came and saw(the huge crowd that showed up.”

Stonebwoy as though throwing a shade at Shata Wale and the turn out during the launch of the Reign album said “What you saw at the Fantasy Dome was a free concert.

“People came in buses and it was free not a sold out event. This is also a free event and you can see the crowd that we commanded”, he said.

Explaining further, Stonebwoy said “This is my hood. 50,000 plus showed up. I am not in this to compete. If it were to be a competition, I wouldn’t even get here.

“If anybody try to compete with me, I think they are the ones to be feeling the pepper because my thing is natural and God bless” the Bawasaba crooner added.

Ashaiman to the World concert attracted thousands of music enthusiasts and fans who not only filled the Sakasaka Park but also occupied every available space along the Tema-Ashaiman overpass as well as the Motorway near the toll booth.

During the show, the crowd would intermittently surge forward and attempt to pull down a barricade separating them and the stage but the huge deployment of security personnel, made up of the Police, Military and private security personnel at the venue managed to restore order.

This year’s edition had a tall list of Ghanaian artistes—from up and coming artistes to some of the nation’s top performers storming the stage to entertain the huge crowd that thronged the venue.

In addition to Stonebwoy, some of the stars at the concert included Samini, Sarkodie, Episode, Kofi Kinata, Article Wan, Obibinii and Nautica.

The rest are D Cryme, Liwin, Donzy, Okomfo Kwadee, KelvinBwoy, Edem, D-Black, Guru, Teephlow, Kwaw Kese and many more.
