Real Madrid news: Eden Hazard move depends on Zidane, Chelsea boss irritated by deal snub

REAL MADRID could reportedly drop their interest in Chelsea winger Eden Hazard if Zinedine Zidane leaves the Bernabeu in the summer.
Hazard has long been talked up as a Real target as they consider replacements for talismanic forward Cristiano Ronaldo and the injury-prone Gareth Bale.

And a move was only abandoned in 2017 because the 26-year-old picked up an ankle injury while on Belgium duty at the start of the summer.

Real continue to be linked with Hazard and an end of season switch appears the most likely scenario.

The latest reports suggest Hazard might not get his dream move to the Spanish capital if Zidane is not around to sign him though.
According to RMC Sport, Real’s interest in Hazard is intrinsically linked to Zidane.

And the French outlet suggest his situation could change come the summer.

Real are currently 14 points adrift of Barcelona in La Liga and a failure to secure any silverware could cost Zidane his job.
If Zidane does leave Real, the Spanish giants could decide to pursue other targets.

Hazard, for his own part, has apparently rejected two offers to extend and enhance his Chelsea contract.

And those snubs have apparently irritated Antonio Conte, under whom he performed so well as the Blues won the Premier League last May.

Meanwhile, Hazard is likely to be given a rest when Chelsea visit Norwich in the FA Cup third round this evening.
