Lawyer Maurice Ampaw rubbishes gay traditional council group

Outspoken Ghanaian Lawyer, Maurice Ampaw, has lashed out at the so called gay traditional council describing them as jokers and a bogus institution.

According to the controversial lawyer in an exclusive interview with Ghanacrusader.com, the gay council was not a legalized institution.

He said, “They are jokers and have not been recognized in the country, they have no legal entity.”

Gay traditional council of Ghana on November, 27, called on president Akufo-Addo not to leagalised gay but to allow them enjoy their pleasure in secret.

Their comment comes shortly after president Akufo-Addo was interviewed by Qatar-based Al Jazeera that, even though the legalisation of homosexuality is not a matter “on the agenda”, it is “bound to happen sometime in the future.”

Lawyer Ampaw, speaking to Ghanacrusader.com, stated that, “the registrar general council does not have such institution in his book,” adding that, “If you register a company or an association you must tell them your aims and objectives, so is a bogus institution and they are making unnecessary noise.

“They are cowards and that is why they are scared to come out, they are not even bold, they know what they are doing is not normal, because the word of God frowns upon it.”

However, reacting to the president comments he said, “Homosexuality can never happened in the Ghana.

“It is unfortunate, the president, is predicting the future for the likely hood of the ligalisation of homosexuality in the country.”

According to him, there was no human right backing same-sex marriage, adding that, “there is no law like that is backing homosexuality and lesbianism.”

“Do you know the consequence on homosexuality, the anal injury and the rest or is human right against procreation,” the lawyer probed.
