Conte/Mourinho spat

08.25: Antonio Conte has struck back at Jose Mourinho after the Manchester United boss seemed to mock the Chelsea manager for “crying” about injuries.

When Mourinho’s remarks were put to Conte, the Italian replied: “A lot of the time Mourinho has to see what happens at Chelsea.

“I think he has to think about himself.

“Mourinho has to look at what happened and think about his own team.”
Keown lauds Morata

08.00: Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata is deceptively quick and has caught many by surprise, according to BT Spot pundit Martin Keown.

“There’s a smoothness [in his play] he’s silky smooth, an intelligence on the move,” Keown said.

“Then his pace, that’s been quite a surprise to a lot of people, not to me.

“He’s really quick and they’ve missed him big time.”
Lampard slams wing-backs

07.45: Frank Lampard was disappointed by the performances of Chelsea’s wing-backs Davide Zappacosta and Marcos Alonso in the 3-3 draw with Roma.

“I think it was not getting to grips with what we said at half-time, which was the switch of play,” Lampard said on BT Sport when asked what his biggest concern was.

“The wing-backs were not moving out quick enough to close down the Roma full-backs. They let them dominate the game.”

Despite the draw, the Blues still maintained their place at the top of Group C.
