Apaak to sue Daily statesman over illegal votes claim

Builsa South MP, Dr. Clement Apaak, has threatened to sue the Daily Statesman Newspaper over a publication that he benefitted from Amadu Sulley’s alleged illegal vote transfer.
Dr. Apaak told Starr News on August 2 that he is innocent of whatever the publication accused him of.
“I have been told of a publication in the said paper but I’m yet to get a copy of the paper to see for myself”.
According to the former Presidential Staffer, he has not engaged in anything illegal and improper.

“As far as I know I have not done anything improper, I have not engaged in anything improper or illegal. .. if I am wrongly accused I have the capability to defend my image, what I have received so far suggest that I have done something illegal and I have not done anything of that sort, I have told my lawyers to be on standby to respond appropriately”.
The Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, Charlotte Osei had earlier accused the Deputy Chair of Operations, Amadu Sulley of persistently effecting illegal vote transfers from his office on the Voter management system.
Mrs Osei, who believes this is in clear breach of the law and operational policies of the Commission is insisting such actions have “major implications for the integrity of the work of the Commission and constitutes an abuse of office.”
