Doe Adjaho ‘remote controlling’ minority – Mensah Bonsu

The Majority Leader of Parliament and Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, Kyei Mensah Bonsu, has alleged that former Speaker of Parliament Edward Doe Adjaho is scheming to control affairs in parliament from his home.
According to Mensah Bonsu, the former Speaker is behind the posturing of the minority in parliament.
“The conduct of [Doe] Adjaho…the man is behind the scenes and still wants to control parliament. Yesterday he even called them [minority] and was telling them that, – when we were meeting the Electoral Commission – they should not agree for the press to be present.
“That man thinks he is still in control,” the Suame Member of Parliament said Thursday.

His claims come after the minority abstained from deliberations regarding the government’s planting for food and jobs program on Thursday.
The minority accused the Speaker of Parliament, Professor Mike Ocquaye of bias and unfairness.
This was after the minority leader Haruna Iddrisu was stopped from asking a follow-up question by the Speaker when the Agric minister appeared before the House for questioning Thursday.
But speaking to Starr News, the Minority Chief Whip Muntaka Mubarak described the claims as unfortunate and strange.
According to him, the minority is capable of taking their own decisions and do not need to kowtow to the former Speaker to stand up to the majority side.
