It's too soon for me to criticise Akufo-Addo - Prof. Adei

Former Rector of the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), Professor Stephen Adei has said he cannot understand why his critics want him to start criticising the Akufo-Addo government so soon when he gave the Mahama administration a two-year grace period before speaking about that government.

Speaking at a Business Roundtable organised Yamson and Associates on Wednesday, 31 May, Prof Adei said: “For your information, in the past three months, I’ve spoken face-to-face to over 4000 people about how to create wealth, that’s what I’m doing.

“And I gave the Mahama administration two years without talking about them, I don’t know why they want me to talk about Akufo-Addo in three months because I’ve served governments for many years and governing is one of the most challenging things,” Prof Adei noted.

He said speaking too soon about the performance of the Akufo-Addo government might be shooting himself in the foot.

“And let me tell you, if you speak too early, you’ll prove yourself to be a fool because you don’t know the directions. We just pray and hope that things will be better,” he emphasised.
