Miscalculated operation by doctors killed Christopher Opoku - Nana Agyeman

Nana Agyeman, a veteran Sports Journalist , Coach and friend to the late Christopher Opoku, has blamed the Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) for the death of his friend, ace Sports Broadcaster, Mr. Christopher Opoku.

In the words of Nana Agyeman, the ‘ not too successful surgery conducted by the Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital’ in an effort to treat Christopher of cancer of the rectum sometime back in the year 2013 was the active and operating cause of his friend’s death.

Mr Christopher Opoku reportedly lost his life last Wednesday 10th May 2017 in an undisclosed hospital in London while battling with cancer of the rectum which first came to public light through a facebook publication by the late Christopher Opoku himself sometime in 2013, after the broadcaster had undergone what was described as a ‘ successful operation at KATH.

But Nana Agyeman, a very close friend and work colleague of Mr. Opoku has described the said operation on Ahotor 92.3fm’s 360 politics with show host Akyena Brantuo on Friday 12th May 2017 as everything but successful.
In his words ‘ Miscalculations in the operations plunged his life into jeopardy.’

Nana Agyeman reveals that the not so successful nature of Mr Opoku’s operation at KATH deteriorated ‘ his health so badly that he collapsed at the London airport and went into coma and had to be rushed to the hospital.

What is worse, Nana Agyeman reveals that his friend ‘suffered’ as the last 10days of his life he had four (4) Operation’ as a result of dealing with the aftermath of his previous operation at KATH. Adding that ‘his bladder was punctured.’

However Nana Agyeman concludes that ‘had Christopher gotten to the UK earlier his life will have been spared.’

Unfortunately ‘nobody was there for Christopher Opoku in his last days.’ He added.

Christopher left behind a beautiful wife and three daughters. Christopher Opoku began his journalism career at Luv FM as a sports journalist, a versatile broadcaster who has worked with Joy FM and was at a point the host of Joy FM’s flagship show- the Super Morning Show, Opoku for several years worked with Metro TV as head of sports and also worked with GTV.
