ASSIN NORTH MP DONATES DUAL DESKS TO SCHOOLS

Inadequate student furniture has been a major setback on the provision of quality education in the Assin North constituency in the Central region.

The massive furniture deficit has compelled two or more students share one desk in the classrooms, affecting effective teaching and learning.

To stem the tide, Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin North Constituency, Hon. Abena Druwaa Mensah, has donated dual desks valued at several thousands of Ghana Cedis to some selected schools in the area, twenty schools benefited from it.



In an interview with Splash FM News Reporter, Nana Korankye Apomuden, Hon. Abena Druwaa stated that the donation is the second batch of furniture to be supplied to schools in the area.
According to her, the donation is in response to a concern raised when she embarked on an educational tour in the constituency.

Hon. Abena Druwaa recently donated Computers to twenty schools to help improve on ICT education in the
Assin North constituency.

She charged the school heads to do maintenance to sustain the desks to last longer

Hon. Abena Druwaa Mensah finally called on Philanthropists and others stakeholders to help education in the constituency as the President of Ghana Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo has fulfilled his 2016 campaign promise dubbed Free Senior high School to encourage the young ones.
