You’re a colossal failure who has misled us all – Afenyo fights UEW Vice Chancellor

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Efutu Constituency in the Central region, Alexander Kwamina Afenyo-Markin has described the current Vice Chancellor of the University of Education Winneba (UEW), Reverend Father Prof Anthony Afful-Broni as a complete failure.

He observed that the Catholic Priest has not only disappointed and people reposed confidence in him to perform, but the entire university community considering his conduct in the last couple of months since he was inducted, MyNewsGh.com reports.

There is currently uneasy calm at the university following the dismissal of some senior members including Professor Ephraim Avea Nsoh former Upper East Regional Minister and Principal of the College of Languages Education at Ajumako and one Dr. Frimpong Kakyire Duku who is the local President of the University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG).



Mr. Afenyo Markin who is not happy about the turn of events under the watch of the current Vice-Chancellor is warning of revolt against his administration calling on him to resign immediately if he has conscience.

He accused him of repeating the same mistakes and even worse than was witnessed under his predecessor Professor Mawutor Avoke leading to his removal from office.

“Afful-Broni was supposed to do [more], but he has failed. I am sure that in the next few days if he has a conscience, he will resign and leave the university because he has failed the University. Afful-Broni has failed the University; he has misled all of us – that is a matter of fact. Mistakes of the past shouldn’t be repeated”, he disclosed on Accra-based Citi Fm monitored by MyNewsGh.com.
