Liverpool news: Alisson sends Neymar warning to PSG ahead of CRUNCH Champions League clash

ALISSON has warned Paris Saint-Germain that Liverpool’s defence is mean enough to keep superstar Neymar quiet.
The pair lock horns in Group C at the Parc de Princes on Wednesday night as they scrap it out for a spot in the last 16.

Group C could not be closer, with second-place Liverpool ahead of Paris Saint-Germain in third because of their head-to-head record.

Leaders Napoli are only one point further in front but can all-but seal a place in the knockout stage with victory over minnows Red Star Belgrade.

That would leave Liverpool and PSG to fight for the final qualifying spot and Wednesday’s result will go a long way to deciding who takes it.
“They have Neymar against our defenders but we have also a great defence so it’ll be a great match for everybody to see,” the Liverpool keeper said.

“I’m expecting to have a great match in this game too.”

Neymar was not initially expected to play after suffering an injury while on international duty with Brazil.

However, reports suggest he is winning his fitness battle and he should be able to start the match.
Kylian Mbappe was also a doubt after falling awkwardly on his shoulder while playing for France last week.

But he is expected to feature as well and Alisson is confident in his ability to perform against PSG’s legion of stars.

The Brazil international has adapted superbly to life in England after his summer switch from Roma.
He has kept eight clean sheets in the Premier League so far this season – the joint-most with Manchester City stopper Ederson.

“I am getting used to the team, my colleagues and the culture,” Alisson added.

“I’m really happy with my moment right now with the team and the national squad.”
