Franklin Cudjoe is a zombie economist – Ken Agyapong

Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong, has described Mr Franklin Cudjoe, Chief Executive of IMANI Ghana’s assertion on the creation of new regions as hollow.

Kennedy Agyapong who described IMANI’s founding President as a zombie economist also accused him of using his position to deceive people for selfish gains.

“Franklin is a zombie economist who is only using his NGO to take money from people from abroad. How well do you even know these MPs that you speak badly about? If you have an NGO, do us a favour by using that means to educate Ghanaians instead of bashing parliamentarians,” he said.

Mr Agyapong was speaking on Asempa FM‘s Ekosii Sen Wednesday.

Mr Franklin Cudjoe had called for more transparency in the creation of new districts.

He believes the elevation of districts that had grown beyond their required threshold to the municipality and metropolitan statuses was the best way to go than splitting them.

According to him, the creation of regions was not the antidote to widespread poverty but allocation and prudent use of resources were the best ways to go.

Mr Franklin Cudjoe believes the move is also an avenue for politicians especially MPs of causing financial loss to the state.

But the outspoken MP said Mr Cudjoe’s assertion is borne out of sheer jealousy.

“This [word censored] who begs people from abroad to satisfy himself should tell us where he got those figures and infantile ideas to support his claim,” he challenged.

He also served notice that he would haunt Mr Cudjoe by exposing his sources of income.
