Barcelona news: Real Madrid, Inter Milan and Sevillla games emerge as key to Malcom future

BARCELONA only signed Malcom this summer – but upcoming matches against Real Madrid, Inter Milan and Sevilla have reportedly emerged as key to his Nou Camp future.
Barcelona poached Malcom from Ligue 1 side Bordeaux back in the summer, with the Brazilian prodigy snubbing Serie A giants Roma in favour of a move to the Nou Camp.

His situation in Catalonia, however, is precarious. The youngster has struggled for game time so far, playing just 25 minutes in La Liga.

The Barcelona star is also yet to make his Champions League debut and, as a result, is far from happy.
Catalan newspaper Mundo Deportivo say the Barcelona forward is unhappy with his lack of minutes under Ernesto Valverde.
And, as a result, the next 15 days will be key to his future.

In that time, Barcelona face a crunch showdown with Sevilla, who currently sit atop of the league table.

They then host Inter in the Champions League, with the Serie A side currently boasting a 100 per cent record in Europe.

After that is the massive clash with Real Madrid.

And Mundo Deportivo say Malcom wants to feature in Barcelona’s three biggest matches of the campaign so far.

But, should Valverde fail to include him, then Malcom could receive loan requests when the transfer window reopens in the New Year.
Meanwhile, the player’s agent recently admitted the 21-year-old was struggling.

Junior Minguella told RAC1: “Every player needs a period of adaptation and minutes on the pitch to prove their worth.

“He hasn’t had them yet, but he’ll prove his worth when he does play.

“He doesn’t like the situation, but he’s focused and very motivated.”

Barcelona’s decision to poach Malcom – when Roma looked to be leading the transfer race – caused controversy.

But, speaking upon moving to the La Liga side in July, the youngster opened up on his reasons for moving to the Nou Camp.
“This is a unique experience. I feel really happy,” he said at the time.

“It’s a dream come true to come to one of the biggest clubs in the world.

“I hope to make the fans happy. I’m really looking forward to meeting my team-mates, to talk to them and find out more about the way we play.

“I’m really excited and in a hurry to get started.

“It’s difficult to explain the feeling. It’s a dream come true since I was young.”
